The Emir Of Zazzau Alh Shehu Idris Has Died.

 

Reports from Kaduna state say that the Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Shehu Idris has passed away.

He died on Sunday.

Zazzau's father and Soba District Head, Alhaji Bashir Shehu Idris, a son of the deceased, confirmed the news to the BBC.

The emir reportedly died after a two-week short illness at a hospital in Kaduna.

Shehu Idris has died at the age of 84, after 45 years in power in the Zazzau Kingdom.

Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai has already posted a message of condolence on his Twitter account, saying the Emir's funeral will be held at Zazzau Palace on Sunday at around 5pm.
